The Wheatsheaf
Welcome to
The Wheatsheaf
One of Wiltshire’s oldest pubs, The Wheatsheaf sits in the picturesque village of Chilton Foliat. We recently reopened our doors following an extensive refurbishment, breathing new life into a much-loved local landmark that has welcomed guests since 1787.
At heart, we remain a proper village pub. The front bar is made for a relaxed drink, spontaneous lunches and lingering suppers, while our handcrafted oak Orangery brings a more contemporary dining experience, complete with an open kitchen and views out onto the garden.
Our seven boutique bedrooms offer a peaceful countryside retreat, thoughtfully designed as a place to unwind, recharge and enjoy a slower pace of life.
Stay with US
Our individually designed guest bedrooms mark a new chapter in our history, offering guests the chance to stay as well as dine and drink with us. Created with comfort at their heart, the rooms combine thoughtful details, timeless style and the relaxed character of our quintessential English pub.
Dine with Us
The kitchen is led by Chef Director, Leigh Evans, whose menus champion the idea that pub food should be every bit as exciting as restaurant dining while remaining generous, seasonal and deeply comforting. Alongside beautifully executed British classics sit dishes such as Rotisserie Monkfish and Scallops paired with Pork Belly.
